HyTide

Where D68 goes, bacteria can't grow

D68 postbiotic: faster growth and healthier guts, with no antibiotics. One product for poultry, swine, cattle and aquaculture, supplied by HyTide to feed mills, integrators and nutritionists across North America.

D68 clear zone: no bacteria

Bacteria cover the plate. Around D68, nothing grows.
Diluted 2,000 times, D68 still keeps bacteria away.

Measured on commercial farms, not just in the lab

D68 has been tested on more than 250,000 birds and pigs in commercial operations. A few headline numbers:

+15.9%average daily gain in 660 weaned piglets over 28 days
−0.12feed conversion ratio in the same piglet trial (1.78 to 1.66)
+2.65 ptslaying rate in a 30,000-hen drinking-water trial
1:2000dilution at which D68 still inhibits S. aureus and C. perfringens in vitro

What a postbiotic is, and why it works in a feed mill

A postbiotic is the useful output of a beneficial microbe: its metabolites, enzymes and cell components. D68 is built around a lipopeptide from the surfactin family, produced by fermenting a selected Bacillus strain.

Because the active compounds aren't fragile living cultures, D68 tolerates pelleting heat, oxygen and long storage. It mixes into feed or dissolves in drinking water, and it carries no risk of transferring antibiotic-resistance genes.

How D68 works

Diagram of D68 inhibiting early biofilm formation, then breaking up and dispersing mature bacterial biofilm
D68 interrupts bacterial biofilms at two stages: it blocks them from forming, and it breaks up and disperses mature ones.

Why producers choose D68

Survives processing

Heat-, oxygen- and bile-salt tolerant, so activity holds through pelleting, storage and the gut.

Broad spectrum

Active against both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria, including E. coli, Salmonella, Clostridium perfringens and Vibrio.

No resistance build-up

Works by disrupting biofilms and bacterial signalling rather than by a single kill target that pathogens learn to evade.

Non-GMO

A naturally sourced strain, not genetically modified or gene-edited, with fully owned intellectual property.

Residue-free

Leaves no drug residues in meat, milk or eggs, and is produced by fermentation with no waste gas or wastewater discharge.

More than one job

Besides inhibiting pathogens, D68 supplies protease and amylase activity that supports digestion and feed efficiency.

Built for every major species

One active, matched to the challenges of each production system.

Broilers

Better survival and feed conversion, with support for uniform growth.

Layers & pullets

Firmer droppings, steadier laying rate in heat and cold stress, better flock uniformity.

Swine

Stronger growth and lower FCR in weaned piglets through a difficult transition.

Cattle

Gut support for dairy and beef cattle, added straight to the TMR.

Aquaculture

Strong in-vitro activity against Vibrio, the leading cause of losses in shrimp.

Fermentation tanks at the manufacturing facility

One product. Every species.

The same D68 works for poultry, swine, cattle and aquaculture. Only the dose changes.

Mix it into feed for everyday use, or dissolve it in drinking water when you need a fast response: heat stress, cold stress, or wet droppings.
